Here's the final line work for the cover. I'm really glad I can ink in pencil now, it's much more fun and causes me much less anxiety. Now I move on to coloring. This is a big decision making point for me. I've been debating for a while, how I should color this book. Whether to color it in the traditional 2D animation, cel-shaded look; or to do it in more of a painterly style. Any thoughts?

Book One - Cover (Final)

I say try both. You won't know what you really want until you see them together. Lookin good though!
Make copies of your original and try both looks.
If you don't want to do that, my initial thought is the painterly style.
The ink looks good!
it looks so good!
Hey, looking pretty good!
I think your frontal character has a few two many lines in the face. I'm assuming he's supposed to be younger. If you're going for the "he's seen hard times thing," there are better places to put the lines.
But nice ink work. I think your designs for this story are looking much better than the older stuff you showed me a while back.
Yeah, guess I'll try both a cel-shaded look and also a more painterly one. Good advice! Should have something up fairly soon.
Wow Brant, didn't realize the main character looked so old. He hasn't seen any hard times yet even! He's supposed to be the young, naive hero; so guess I need to take some lines off of his face. Gotta remember to keep it simple! Thanks for the feedback!
